Electrical Discharge Machining also known as spark machining, spark eroding, die sinking, wire burning or wire erosion, is a metal fabrication process whereby a desired shape is obtained by using electrical discharges. Compacting Tooling utilizes this process to create complex forms in very hard materials. For instance carbide, which cannot be machined conventionally. We currently posses 8 sinker EDM, 4 wire EDM, and one hole drilling sinker EDM. Our newest wire EDM is a Sodick ALN600G.
